Purchasing Specialist (Building Material)

• Purchasing materials and interface with vendors on pricing, specifications, etc.
• New vendors and product research.
• Coordination of logistics for receiving all purchased materials for manufacturing, stock or reshipment to clients.
• Monitoring and maintaining stock item inventory levels.
• Coordinating purchased items specifications with technical and manufacturing staff.
• Daily handling of purchase orders, shipping and receiving paperwork flow, including resolution of associated invoicing quantity and/or quality issues.

• Minimum five (5) years of professional purchasing experience in a production-oriented construction environment, building prefabrication, or job shop-based manufacturing setting.
• PAST EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING MATERIALS PURCHASING IS A REQUIREMENT. (Purchased items include lumber, plywood, OSB, laminated beams and timbers, siding, structural steel, fasteners, windows, doors, decking, flooring, cabinets & countertops, etc.)
• College degree or equivalent experience
• High level of proficiency in Excel
• Solid organizational skills

From $60k to start plus incentives – based on knowledge and experience.
